We have many stories to tell that we learn on our customer visits – here are just a few from recently completed projects…
4 bedroom house – Full internal fitted Hardwood Shutters. We had fitted the same product to the parent’s house and they were so impressed by the look and slick operation of our product, that they recommended us. The parent’s recounted having had a nationally renowned company fit shutters to their previous London home. When they saw our product they were incredulous that the national company had charged a significant amount more for providing MDF constructed shutters rather than our real Hardwood Shutters. Sadly, this is an all too familiar story that we hear – but we are constantly reassured by the glowing feedback we always receive from our customers.
Complete package for a new-build, customer via our client Linden Homes. Full interior Triple Pinch-Pleated curtains. Fully installed prior to customer taking possesion of the keys. We became official suppliers to Linden Homes in the area.
Full Apartment installation of blackout Roller blinds – working to client budget with Band-A product (entry-level). Added a bespoke appearance to the blinds by including the aluminium bars and metal chains to suit contemporary design of the apartment. PLEASE NOTE: This photo was taken prior to proper installation of child-safety mechanism as set out by the ‘Make-it-Safe’ Campaign established in 2014. We take this safety recommendation very seriously, and insist on full compliance with every installation.
Older, Georgian type property requiring Bay Window Curtain Pole as well as our Hand-Made Triple Pinch-Pleated Curtains. Customer already had Shutters inside the Bay Window – therefore we had to extend the bracketry to clear the shutters so that there was no interference to the curtain fabrics. With over 30 years of experience, we are able to devise solutions for any problems like this. Contact us with your specific requirement and we will come up with a solution.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you visit our home/office to accurately measure-up?
In the first instance, we encourage you to send us a photograph of your Bay Window from the centre of the room. Because we have installed so many in the local area, 9 times out of 10 we are able to identify the area and house type so that we can provide an initial estimate. Once you have accepted the estimate, we will always visit to make pin-point accurate measurements and answer any questions or concerns prior to manufacture and installation.
Do you remove and dispose of any old fitments?
If required we will remove any old fitments and prepare the space as appropriate for the new installation. However, the customer is required to dispose of their old fitments responsibly. As tradesmen, we are charged a fee to dispose of household waste, which means we would have to make a surcharge.
Can I have a bay window curtain pole for eyelet curtains?
Currently, this is combination is unavailable – although the technology is always being reviewed and developed to facilitate this option. Watch this space!
can you fit customer-purchased products?
We only fit our own products because they are of professional quality – as opposed to the usual DIY packaged products that have poor, under-sized brackets, telescopic poles that are not substantial enough for most weighted curtains. It is a fact that these DIY products are a budget version of the products we supply and install – whereas ours are designed specifically to be fit for purpose.
What areas of the south do you cover?
We are based just off Junction 9 of the M27. We cover Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester and Chichester – and everywhere in between. We have installed outside these areas – however there are logistical costs that would need to be factored in by prior arrangement. Please enquire and we will happily discuss your project further.
Can you repair my existing plastic track?
We get asked this an awful lot! It is this simple… Unfortunately, the reason your track is broken is because it is made of plastic and was never up to the standard of a professional track. We insist on metal tracks so that our customers enjoy a true ‘Fit and Forget’ installation with a readily available spare parts backup facility. We seriously recommend that you replace your plastic tracks with metal tracks. We have serviced tracks that we installed 20 years ago and they simply required superficial maintenance and were left serviceable for the next 20 years – much to the surprise of the customer, who normally expect to have to purchase a whole new track.
